What is a regular dodecagon?

A dodecagon is a 12-sided polygon. Several special types of dodecagons are illustrated above. In particular, a dodecagon with vertices equally spaced around a circle and with all sides the same length is a regular polygon known as a regular dodecagon.

What is a nonagon shape?

A nine sided shape is a polygon called a nonagon. It has nine straight sides that meet at nine corners. The word nonagon comes from the Latin word "nona", meaning nine, and "gon", meaning sides. So it literally means "nine sided shape".

A decagon is a 10-sided polygon. It also has ten vertices - which is where the sides meet - and angles. A regular decagon has congruent sides and angles. ... An irregular decagon has sides and angles that are not all congruent.

Is a five point star a decagon?

A regular star pentagon, {5/2}, has five corner vertices and intersecting edges, while concave decagon, |5/2|, has ten edges and two sets of five vertices. ...

How does regular decagon look like?

A regular decagon has all sides of equal length and each internal angle will always be equal to 144°. Its Schläfli symbol is {10} and can also be constructed as a truncated pentagon, t{5}, a quasiregular decagon alternating two types of edges.

What rotation will carry a regular decagon onto itself?

Therefore, by rotating the decagon about its center by multiples of 36° will carry a regular decagon onto itself. Any multiple of 36 could be: 36, 72, 108, 144, 180, 216, 252, 288, etc…

What is an irregular Nonagon?

Irregular nonagon

A nonagon in which all sides are not equal and all angles are not equal. The measure of its angles are different but total sum of all its interior angles is always 1260°.

How much sides does a Nonagon have?

In geometry, a nonagon (/ˈnɒnəɡɒn/) or enneagon (/ˈɛniəɡɒn/) is a nine-sided polygon or 9-gon. The name nonagon is a prefix hybrid formation, from Latin (nonus, "ninth" + gonon), used equivalently, attested already in the 16th century in French nonogone and in English from the 17th century.
