Full-automatic PET bottle blow molding machine is the most stable two-step automatic stretch blow moulding machine. PET bottle blowing machine has two cavities to six cavities and the maximum volume of the products is 2000ml. the speed is 1000 bottles per hour per cavity (based on 500ml bottle).

What is PET bottle blowing?

Production of PET containers requires injection molding of preforms and subsequent stretching and blowing of these into bottles. Both operations can be combined in one machine (the single-stage process) or in two (the two-stage process).

How does a blowing machine work?

The process involves heating a plastic tube (known as a preform or parison) to its melting point and then putting that into the cavity of a mold. They then use compressed air to inflate the molten plastic like a balloon so that it takes the shape of the mold but is hollow inside.

What is blowing machine?

: a machine for blowing bottles and other hollow glassware.

What is the meaning of PET bottle?

PET, which stands for polyethylene terephthalate, is a form of polyester (just like the clothing fabric). It is extruded or molded into plastic bottles and containers for packaging foods and beverages, personal care products, and many other consumer products.

Are PET bottles safe?

PET plastic is approved as safe for food and beverage contact by FDA and similar regulatory agencies throughout the world, and has been for more than 30 years. PET plastic is used in a variety of packaging for many foods, including everything from peanut butter, soft drinks and juices to beer, wine and spirits.

Is PET plastic better than glass?

Even when it's not recycled, PET plastic is still better for the environment than glass. ... PET (and rPET) plastic offers all the benefits of glass--durability, reusability, and transparency, but it's lighter, cheaper, and more versatile.

What is plastic parison programming?

Parison programming is the process of changing the parison thickness as the plastic is extruded. The die head programming can reduce the amount of plastic used and improve the wall thickness distribution and reduce cooling time.

What is a parison used for?

Parison blow molding of intricate plastic bottles and other plastic parts requires air pressure control that is precise, repeatable and rapid responding. Proportion-Air offers electronic closed-loop pressure and flow controls that are used to improve processes in the plastics blow molding industry.

What is plastic preform?

A preform is an intermediate product that is subsequently blown into a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) container. ... Preforms are manufactured from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), so they are called PET preforms.

What is PET Moulding?

PET is the abbreviation for polyethylene terephthalate plastic resin. PET has a melting point near 270°C, while the molding temperature is 270 to 280°C, and hence its injection molding is done at a relatively high temperature. ... This plastic carries out hydrolysis when it reacts with water.

How are plastic bottle Moulded?

Pellets of PET and recycled plastics are loaded into special ovens and heated to 260 degrees centigrade so that it melts. This melted plastic is then injected into small moulds – that's like a hollow space that shapes the plastic into long thin tubes.

What is parison made of?

(Counterclockwise from top) A molten polymer is extruded into a hollow tube-shaped parison. A split mold is closed around the parison, which is expanded against the sides of the mold by a stream of air. Once the plastic has solidified, the mold is opened and the shaped bottle released.

What is parison programming explain in detail?

The parison geometry was programmed by specifying mandrel movement through a “pegboard” system of inserting pins in holes on a grid. ... Today, parison-control systems can fine-tune parison geometry by plotting out up to 200 programming points.

What is curling of parison?

PARISON CURL

This occurs during the extrusion of the parison as a result of too cold a melt temperature. Sometimes called "doughnutting," parison curl usually results from one of three. conditions: 1. Too cold mandrel or die.

What is blowup ratio?

The blow up ratio is simply the ratio of the final diameter of the tube relative to the die diameter. The amount the film is oriented in the machine direction is controlled by the draw down ratio (DDR), which is simply the ratio of the thickness of the extrudate exiting the die to the final film gauge.

What is parison control?

Parison control means dynamically controlling thickness of Parison to get a uniform thickness container on an Extrusion Blow Moulding machine. It helps to maintain the required thickness axially and radially on the product made out of Extrusion/Injection Blow Moulding (BM).

Why are PET bottles better?

PET or PETE or Polyethylene terephthalate is a strong, stiff synthetic fibre that hails from the family of polymers made with ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid. ... One of the biggest reasons why PET is preferred by many manufacturers is that it is 100% recyclable and highly sustainable.

Are PET bottles reusable?

Manufacturers design and produce PET bottles as one-time-use only products. Although the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved PET bottles for single use and for reuse, many manufacturers and consumer advocates urge the public to limit their PET bottles to one time use only.

Is PET plastic unhealthy?

PET plastic (polyethylene terephthalate) is the plastic most commonly used in single-use plastic water bottles. It is BPA free, but PET is also associated with many of the same health risks such as stunted growth, reproduction issues, low energy levels, body balance issues, and inability to process stress.

Is PET harmful to health?

It contains polyethylene terephthalate (PET or PETE or polyester). Harms: PET is known to leach antimony trioxide and phthalates. Both of these are dangerous to health. While antimony may contribute to cancer development, skin problems, menstrual and pregnancy issues, phthalates are endocrine disruptors.

How many times can a PET bottle be recycled?

Most plastics can only be recycled once, at which point they are normally converted into clothing or some other commodity which can't be recycled again. This means that once the second item reaches the end of its lifespan, so too does the original plastic – and it ends up in a landfill.

What is split Mould?

What is a Split Mould? A split mould is a great way to cast complex shape of small to medium size quickly and effectively. This method is virtually identical to the one part open mould making technique, being that it is essentially a one-part mould with strategic splits cut through it.

Why is PET used for plastic bottles?

PET has some important characteristics such its strength, thermo-stability, gas barrier properties and transparency. ... It is also lightweight, shatter-resistant and recyclable.
