What is so special about a Hemi engine?

What is so special about a Hemi engine? The Hemi engine's unique design, which features less surface area, results in less heat loss. This means the engine's peak pressure can be higher, which can result in better efficiency. Additionally, larger valves mean it's easier for air to flow through a Hemi engine.

What is the difference between a Hemi and regular engine?

A HEMI® engine is composed of a hemispherical combustion chamber with dome shaped cylinders and matching piston tops. This creates less surface area than traditional engine which means that less heat and energy lost, and more power is produced.

Is a Hemi really better?

The Hemi engine, by design, does a better job of burning all the fuel in the cylinder. Also, because of its design versus a flat head, the surface area is smaller and that means less heat escapes, plus peak pressure can be higher. ... While the valve size is an advantage, it is limited to having four valves per cylinder.

What are the benefits of a Hemi?

• Powerful: due to their unique design, Hemi engines can develop more power than other types of engines.
• Reliable: Hemi engines are well-known because they last in time and they can be reliable on long-term.
