What does EOE M F'd V stand for?
Those who have been involved in affirmative action for a while may recall using “EOE: m/f/d/v (equal opportunity employer: minorities/females/disabled/veterans),” or just “EOE” or “m/f/d/v.” Some even spelled out “equal opportunity employer” and left it at that.
What is an EoE flare up?
EoE is a chronic immune system disease that has identical symptoms to GERD, like trouble swallowing and chest pain. It happens when white blood cells, called eosinophils, build up in your esophagus, the tube that connects your mouth to your stomach.

What HF frequency is best?
HF users have found that using a frequency that is the MUF times 0.85 gives the best chance for good results. This is called the frequency of optimum transmission (FOT).
How far can a HF radio transmit?
But the real advantage of HF is skywave propagation, where a single link can span distances as great as 3,000 km (a little less than 1,900 miles). Skywave propagation occurs when the radio wave is refracted (bent) in the uppermost layer of the atmosphere, called the ionosphere.
How do you test MF and HF?
Printer test checks the connection between MF/HF equipment and printer. Go to Menu#2 -> READOUT & SET UP -> press 4 -> press ENT. This displays the “SELF TEST” screen. Select the “printer test” and press ENT.
Can HF radios communicate with VHF?
Connecting VHF and HF radio
It is important to remember that VHF and HF radio are used for communicating over different distances because of the way signals travel. VHF waves are only effective along a line of sight between a transmitting and receiving antenna.
Who uses HF radio?
The band is used by international shortwave broadcasting stations (3.95–25.82 MHz), aviation communication, government time stations, weather stations, amateur radio and citizens band services, among other uses.
What frequencies do Preppers use?
They often work at public events, disasters, and other emergency situations to provide valuable communications services.- Channel 3 (26.985 MHz) – Prepper CB Network (AM)
- Channel 4 (27.005 MHz) – The American Preppers Network (TAPRN)
- Channel 9 (27.065 MHz) – Universal CB Emergency/REACT channel.
What are the most popular HF bands?
20 meters – 14.0–14.35 MHz – Considered the most popular DX band; usually most popular during daytime. QRP operators recognize 14.060 MHz as their primary calling frequency in that band. Users of the PSK31 data mode tend to congregate around 14.070 MHz. Analog SSTV activity centers on 14.230 MHz.
What length wave is required for HF communication?
High-frequency (HF) radio is in the 100- to 10-metre wavelength band, extending from 3 megahertz to 30 megahertz.
How does HF communication work?
How do HF radio waves travel? HF frequencies (between 3-30 megahertz) are transmitted from a base unit or handheld transceiver into the Earth's atmosphere. These radio signals 'bounce' off the ionosphere and return to land, where they are received by another transceiver tuned into the same radio band.
What is an AA employer?
Affirmative action plans (AAPs) define an employer's standard for proactively recruiting, hiring and promoting women, minorities, disabled individuals and veterans. Affirmative action is deemed a moral and social obligation to amend historical wrongs and eliminate the present effects of past discrimination.
What are AA laws?
Affirmative action (AA) has a broader reach in that it encompasses policies that support members of disadvantaged groups that have suffered historical discrimination through education, employment, or housing.
Is EoE autoimmune?
Although it is located in the esophagus and can have a significant impact on the digestive system, eosinophilic esophagitis is classified as an autoimmune disorder, a type of condition where the immune system inadvertently attacks the body itself.
What happens if EoE goes untreated?
EoE is not life threatening; however, if left untreated it may cause permanent damage to the esophagus. Many patients with EoE also experience gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a chronic digestive disorder that is caused by the abnormal flow of gastric acid from the stomach into the esophagus.
Does EoE cause coughing?
The symptoms of EoE may include swallowing problems (dysphagia), vomiting, food getting stuck in the esophagus (food impaction), heartburn or chest pain, abdominal pain, coughing or slow growth.
Does the military use HF radio?
The primary HFGCS voice frequencies are 4724.0 kHz, 8992.0 kHz, 11175.0 kHz, and 15016.0 kHz. In addition to the HFGCS, U.S. aircraft frequently use Military Auxiliary Radio System (MARS) HF stations (13927.0 kHz) and Canadian Forces HF stations (11232.0 kHz) to relay messages.
What is the difference between VHF and HF radios?
VHF operates at a higher frequency range than HF, usually between 30-300 MHz. These transmissions, due to their higher frequency, penetrate through the Ionosphere, with little or no refraction. VHF propagation is 'line of sight' in nature and so is restricted to shorter-range communications.
Does the military still use HF?
He added that HF can now support data rates up to 240 kilobytes per second on a 48-kilohertz channel, particularly useful for more robust communications in hostile environments. “WBHF has already [been] used in military trials. It's a technology which is most definitely here and now,” Denisowski said.
