Explanation: The value is stored in a shift register, so that each bit can be accessed separately.

What is size of result in case of 8-bit multiplication?

The maximum result from the multiplication of two 8-bit numbers can be up-to 16-bits.

Where the multiplier is stored in improved version of multiplication?

Explanation: The value is stored in a shift register so that each bit can be accessed separately. 4. The ______ is used to coordinate the operation of the multiplier.

Which procedure is known for multiplication Mcq?

Explanation: The Booth's Algorithm is used for the multiplication of binary numbers.

Where is the multiplication result stored Mcq?

Explanation: The value is stored in a shift register, so that each bit can be accessed separately. The ______ is used to co-ordinate the operation of the multiplier.

8 bit multiplication using 8085 microprocessor/ (multiplication in 8085)

What is the full form of RISC Mcq?

Explanation: The RISC stands for Reduced Instruction Set Computer.

What is the role of a multiplier Mcq?

A multiplier is an electronic circuit used to multiply two bianry numbers. It is built using binary adders that is full adders.

When QN and QN 1 01 then the action taken is?

If the bits of Q_n and Q_n+1 is shows to 01, the multiplicand bits (M) will be added to the AC (Accumulator register). After that, we perform the right shift operation to the AC and QR bits by 1.

What is the product of two 8-bit numbers?

If, for example, the product of two 8-bit numbers is to be stored, then 2¹⁶ = 65536 memory locations and 16 output lines for the double-length product are needed. This requires a ROM capacity of 65536 × 16 ≈ 10⁶ bits or 128 Kbytes.

How can we multiply two numbers in 8085 microprocessor?

The 8085 has no multiplication operation. To get the result of multiplication, we should use the repetitive addition method. After multiplying two 8-bit numbers it may generate 1-byte or 2-byte numbers, so we are using two registers to hold the result.

Which MUL is used to multiply the unsigned 8-bit number in the Accumulator and register B?

The MUL instruction multiplies the unsigned 8-bit integer in the accumulator and the unsigned 8-bit integer in the B register producing a 16-bit product.

How many bits are required to store the result of multiplying two 16 bit signed integers?

First thing to remember is that the size of the product will be the sume of the sizes of the numbers being multiplied together. Since we are multiplying two 16-bit numbers, the size will be 32-bits.

What is binary addition?

Binary addition is the addition of binary numbers. Binary addition is as similar in decimal number system the difference is only of the base. The decimal number system has base 10 and uses digits from 1 to 9 while the binary number system has the base 2 and uses only digits 0 and 1.

Where the multiplier is stored in Booth's multiplication hardware *?

Booth's algorithm for two complements multiplication:

Multiplier and multiplicand are placed in the Q and M register respectively. Result for this will be stored in the AC and Q registers.

What is signed operand multiplication?

Multiplication of two fixed point binary number in signed magnitude representation is done with process of successive shift and add operation. ... The sign of the product is determined from the sign of the multiplicand and multiplier. If they are alike, sign of the product is positive else negative.

What is Booth multiplication in computer architecture?

Booth's multiplication algorithm is a multiplication algorithm that multiplies two signed binary numbers in two's complement notation. The algorithm was invented by Andrew Donald Booth in 1950 while doing research on crystallography at Birkbeck College in Bloomsbury, London.

What is the primary function of entrepreneurship Mcq?

Ans: (d) Planning

Q 28: “ this function of Entrepreneur is concerned with To arrange guide, co-ordinate, direct and control the activities of the factors of production”.

How multiplier is derived?

The ratio of ΔY to ΔI is called the investment multiplier. It can be derived, as follows, from the equilibrium condition (Y = C + I + G) together with the consumption equation (C = a + bY). ... This equation describes the new equilibrium, once the economy has adjusted to the increase in the level of investment.

What is investment Mcq?

MCQs on Investment

Investing can be defined as the method of placing down a definite aggregate of money, in a plan or scheme, project, to produce profit or income out of it in prospect.

Why microcontrollers are not called computers?

Solution: They are not called general purpose because they are not meant to do a single work at a time.

Which forms the heart of the operating system?

Which forms the heart of the operating system? Solution: Explanation: The kernel is the heart of the operating system. This can control the hardware and can deal with the interrupts, I/O systems, memory etc.

Which of the following is an 8-bit RISC Harvard architecture?

Which of the following is an 8-bit RISC Harvard architecture? Solution: Explanation: AVR is an 8-bit RISC architecture developed by Atmel.
